The short version
There are no accounts, so we don't hold your name, email or listening history. The links you paste are used to load the playlist and are cached for a short time. Third parties (Google and YouTube) set cookies to show ads, run search and play videos.
What we store
- Pasted links and the public tracklists they point to, cached on our server for up to an hour so repeat plays load faster.
- Song-to-video matches, cached for up to 30 days. These contain song names and YouTube video IDs, nothing about you.
- Standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages requested), kept by our host for security and deleted on a rolling basis.
Third parties
- Google AdSense shows ads and uses cookies to do so, including to show ads based on your previous visits to this and other sites. You can turn off personalised ads at Google Ad Settings. See how Google uses data from partner sites.
- Google Programmable Search powers the search pages. Your search terms are sent to Google.
- YouTube plays the music, using its privacy-enhanced (youtube-nocookie.com) player. YouTube may still set cookies once a video plays.
- Statcounter counts visits and pages viewed, without collecting names or emails.
- Google Fonts serves the typeface.
Consent
Visitors in the UK, EEA and Switzerland are asked for consent before personalised ads are shown, through Google's consent message. You can change your choice at any time from the privacy link it adds to the page.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask what data we hold about you and ask us to delete it. Because we don't run accounts, there is usually nothing linked to you, but email hello@playlistsearchr.com and we'll check.
