Two things people mean by "Spotify to YouTube"
Some people want to hear a Spotify playlist on YouTube right now. Others want a permanent copy saved in their YouTube account. Transfer services such as TuneMyMusic and Soundiiz do the second job well, but they need you to sign in to both services and wait while the copy runs.
PlaylistSearchr does the first job instantly and gets you most of the way on the second.
| PlaylistSearchr | Playlist transfer services | |
|---|---|---|
| Sign in to Spotify | No | Yes |
| Sign in to YouTube | No | Yes |
| First song plays | A few seconds after pasting | After the transfer finishes |
| Saved in your YouTube library | Via "open it on YouTube" (first 50 songs) | Yes, the whole playlist |
| Price | Free | Free plans, paid for bigger jobs |
How to copy a Spotify link
- On a phone: open the playlist, tap the three dots, then Share, then Copy link.
- On a computer: right-click the playlist in the sidebar, choose Share, then Copy link to playlist.
- From a message: links that start with spotify.link work too. We follow them to the real playlist.
How the songs get matched
We read each song title and artist from Spotify's public page and search YouTube for an upload of that exact track. Audio uploads are preferred over music videos, for two reasons: music videos often start with a long intro, and many of them are blocked from playing outside youtube.com. If the first match won't play, the player quietly tries the next one.
If it says the playlist is empty
The playlist is probably private. Spotify only shows public playlists to anyone outside your account. In the Spotify app, open the playlist, tap the three dots and choose Add to profile, then paste the link again.
